If you are interested in a career in environmental science or natural resource management, NRES has a program for you.
NRES offers an undergraduate major leading to a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. NRES majors choose one of four concentrations: Fish and Wildlife Conservation, Global Change and Landscape Dynamics, Human Dimensions of the Environment, and Resource Conservation and Restoration Ecology.
NRES also oversees an undergraduate minor in Quantitative Methods in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences that provides outstanding preparation for the large number of emerging careers in environmental analysis and modeling.
The NRES graduate programs offer several options for students seeking an advanced degree. In addition to the traditional campus-based master of science and doctor of philosophy degrees, we provide opportunites to pursue a joint degree with the University of Illinois College of Law (M.S./J.D.) and several cooperative programs.
