Why Illinois? – What factors helped contribute to your decision to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign?
I became interested in the University of Illinois because of its praise from family friends who have previously studied there. It was through their commendation that I decided to visit and apply. During my visit, I saw how large and diverse the campus truly is. I could tell that there would be a lot of opportunities for me here.
Why NRES? – Specifically, why did you choose to study Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences?
I knew going into college that I wanted to study environmental science. As a freshman, I was unsure of the direction I wanted to take pertaining to environmental science. I chose NRES because it offers a wide range of concentrations that I can delve into.
