Why Illinois? – What factors helped contribute to your decision to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign?
I decided to come to Illinois because of the big-school opportunities accompanied by the welcoming atmosphere. Illinois has given me so many opportunities to develop both professionally and as a person.
The first time I came to campus, everyone made me feel like I was at home; whenever you’re moving hours away for the first time, this is so important!
Why NRES? – Specifically, why did you choose to study Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences?
I have always had a passion for the environment, but never knew I could make a career out of
it until I came to NRES—and there are so many career paths to choose from!
Choosing to study Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences has been the best decision I have made
while at Illinois. My professors, advisors, and peers have been the best and the opportunities through the College of ACES are great!
